Farm Day Visits
Good News!!!! The Donkey Dairy has decided to open up our farm gates to visitors!! If you are looking for an authentic farm experience, then come on over!! We are a working farm and not a venue per se, so if you are down-to-earth and looking for a bit of fresh farm air and interaction with some amazing animals, then you have come to the right place.
Not only are we South Africa’s only Donkey Dairy, our farm is also home to some of the rarest farm animals in South Africa including dwarf goats, miniature pigs, dwarf rabbits, miniature cattle, miniature horses, silky chickens, Suri alpacas and not to forget the stars of our farm, miniature spotted donkeys.

Hiking Trails:
At only R40 per person, you will have full access to our family-friendly hikes on our section of the Magaliesburg mountain.
We currently have two hiking trails: “Jack's Trek”, which gives you a spectacular view of the valley, and “Brayers Eye” trail, which takes you to our natural spring in the mountain. Here you can take some time out to relax in the forest by the eye.
Brayer's Eye Trail is 1,8km
Jack's Trek Trail is 3km
So please remember to pack your hats, sunscreen, hiking shoes, water bottles and cameras as you will spot our mountain donkeys on your way.
Bottle feeding of our Goat Kids:
We offer bottle feeding of our baby dwarf goats at various times throughout the day at an additional cost of R80 per family on a first-come first-served basis. We only have limited bottles as we cannot overfeed our babies. Should you miss out on the bottle feeding, there will still be plenty of time to interact with the goaties in our play area.
Donkey Milk Tasting:
When visiting South Africa's original Donkey Dairy, one needs to taste our precious donkey milk in order to have the full farm experience.
Donkey Milk tasting is available at selected times during the day, not only will you have the opportunity to taste our milk, but you will also get a brief history of our farm and of why we do what we do, as well as get some mind blowing facts about how amazing donkey milk is for your health.
Your tasting experience will include a shot of pure, delicious Donkey Milk, a scrumptious Donkey Milk brownie and a shot with a kick, which is our complimentary, decadent Donkey Milk Liqueur!
Tasting is R45 per person and can be booked at reception.
This is an experience you cannot afford to miss!!
Donkey Rides:
For the more daring kids, donkey rides will also be available at R40 per ride, these are with our handsome Donkey, Blue! Blue is on duty for rides at various times throughout the day.
Weight limit for kids is 30kgs.
Donkey Grooming:
For the kids who enjoy giving our Donks a makeover, we offer grooming kits at selected times throughout the day where they can brush, plat and cuddle our Long Ears to their hearts content.

Animal Feeding:
We offer animal snack packs for some extra yummy bonding time. Our snack packs offer a well-balanced pellet which is suitable for all of our animals, they are available at reception for R15 per pack.
Braai Time:
Enjoy our Hormone Free Wagyu Boerie Rolls and Burgers. Vegetarian "Boeries" also available. All freshly prepared on the grill in True SA Style.

The Farm Shop:
Be sure to make a turn at our small farm shop for homemade products that we manufacture on the farm, such as rusks, preserves, various rustic items and our famous donkey milk soap and creams. There is a card facility available for your convenience.
